I wasn't even completely out of boxes before I dove straight into getting Ignite Charlotte up and running and man has it been fun, fun, fun. You know when you feel good about a place and that place just gives back to you without a lot of struggle. That's what Charlotte feels like to me; a city that has a wealth of talented people who are willing to give of their time and energy to make something happen.
First, I'd like to thank Sam Fagan, VP of Business Development for BluEagle Marketing who allowed me to work my magic as I call it to get Ignite Charlotte up and running and he hadn't even met me yet. He knows what it takes to launch a business and he's provided the business structure support needed to get Ignite Charlotte going in the right direction. Thanks Sam. I'd also like to thank Eric Frazier with the Charlotte Observer. I called Eric and asked for his advice on how best to introduce myself to key players in the social media arena given that I had just arrived in Charlotte. He listened attentively to what Ignite was about and pointed me in the direction of key players that were eager to learn more about what we wanted to do with Ignite Charlotte.
And so it begins, my immersion into a new community filled with voices that I hope to have the good pleasure of hearing from, learning from and working with.
Hello Charlotte...I'm very glad I'm here.
